Overview
What participants do
Sellers receive products from a shared pool, each with a hidden value, and must persuade buyer teams to purchase them. Buyer teams weigh competing pitches and decide where to commit. Hidden values are revealed at the end and drive the scoring for both sides.
Format
How the event flows
Pick Your Poison (sellers)
Participants are assigned products with randomly allotted hidden values and pitch them using strategy, persuasion, and communication.
Tight Corner (buyers)
Buyer teams sit in a controlled environment, evaluate the pitches, and choose what to buy.
Scoring
Hidden values are revealed. Buyer teams with the highest accumulated scores and sellers who move the most products are declared winners.
Why it matters
Beyond the room
The event mirrors real business dealings — pitching, negotiating, judging a claim, and deciding under uncertainty — the same skills used in sales, client conversations, marketing, and procurement.
Strategists and communicators who enjoy psychology, persuasion and fast team decisions.
Negotiation
Reading value and influencing outcomes under pressure.
Collaboration
Teams must align fast on a shared strategy.
Persuasion
Sellers learn to communicate value convincingly.
